Weather
Broken clouds with the sun poking through occasionally, interspersed with light snowfall. little to no accumulations during the day.
Snowpack
No obvious signs of instabilities with cracking or collapsing. There were some mid-storm interfaces that had clean shears in quick hasty pits. Those will adjust and bond better with the forecast warming trend. Interface between this storm and previous surface had good bonding. At tree line there was less wind effect than what we were guessing there would be. We did not go higher to determine how much new wind loading there is. New snow is very dusty. It is diffuse and not a "layer" of dust but throughout the new snow. Gives it a slight non-white color. Tea colored, as a friend suggested.
