Class 1 slab failed on snowmobile track cut. 2205 m west aspect facing into the Duncan/beaver valley. Crown was (estimated) at 20-40 cms thick. Propagated 50 m (estimated) and flushed 80-100 m. Sun may have been creating a temperature effect that weakened the layering. Likely wind slab. Not a significant avalanche but notable for what the new snow will fall on and also the day was rated moderate in the alpine and low at treeline so was a bit surprised to see this quick release. Enough snow to sweep a skier off their feet or cause trouble for a group sitting below the slope. - never let your guard down….
