Great conditions for skinning but wind had exposed the crust in some areas. Sheltered areas produced great skiing

Anticipated wind slab just under the ridgeline failed on a layer of small surface hoar and/or facets. Loose/dry gently settled into the trees. Steeper 45 degree slopes below this produced significant soft slabs/sluff in cross loaded gullies between trees. Great skiing all day in several areas but pockets of wind slab were not expected in the lower sections of our lines. High winds and changing wind directions have made it challenging to assess.
