Skiid Matier NW face via Joffre Lakes with good stability. Another group of two triggered an avalanche skiing down the W side of the Matier glacier toward upper Joffre. We came upon the slide maybe half an hour after it happened, and saw both tracks leaving the area.

Avalanche

Avalanche triggered by two skiers on a steep NE facing slope on the lee side just below Slalok N ridge. Appeared wind loaded, just above convex roll. Avalanche ran on the S side of the the Matier glacier for around 600 meters, with a deposit thickness of roughly 1.5 meters
