Skinned up to Balu Pass. Dug a pit and found the storm snow bonding well to upper snowpack. We found the Feb 3rd crust 110cm down. Above it we found 5-10cm of fist stiffness facets. We saw CTH24 resistant planar on these facets, and no propagation on an ECT. Towards afternoon the winds picked up to moderate from SW and we saw moderate blowing snow. Boot pen 55cm. Great day of skiing overall!
