Consistent snow on the rubble creek trail starts at 1300m. we pushed it 1100m on the way down. About 20cm of heavy snow fell Saturday night at lake elevation and hovering at zero for the afternoon. Ice was thick enough to ski on. We stayed 10m from shore just in case. Travel in trees was very difficult with very little coverage under canopy (1-2cm). Snow depth improved at higher elevations, great skiing above 1600m, ~50cm on top of thick crust. We turned around at 1900m because snow was starting to be a little more wind affected with some shooting cracks. Skied down to lake level on slopes ~<30 degrees.
