Our group skied a couple of laps in the Montana trees / bowl area. Found 30-40cm of soft, unconsolidated snow in the early half of the day with no slab properties. Compression test (S aspect, 2250m): HS 175cm CTH 24 down 75 on early Feb crust / facet layer, uneven break However, with continued snow and increasing wind, that started to change by the time we skied our 2nd lap around 3pm. Dropping into the bowl we saw a small wind crust starting to form just below the ridge top.
