We got an early start since the day before had been warm and sunny and similar weather was expected this day. Sun-exposed aspects had a hard breakable solar crust. Good skiing was found on Gandalf the Grey in shaded low-lying areas that had some windborne accumulation. Solar crusts found at all alpine elevations and aspects. Pinwheels and small wet-loose common on solar-affected aspects with slope greater than about 30 degrees.

Wet loose with start zone just below a rock band. Solar heating likely warmed the rocks and triggered wet-loose just below rock band.
