Straight back to the aluminum bowl

Another beautiful day in the Hasler riding area after a receiving a good reset. Only one older avalanche was observed in our travels to the aluminum bowl. Riding conditions were fantastic in protected areas but the majority of the riding that was exposed to winds were not as nice with it being slabby and grabby. Dug a profile at 1450m on a north asp in the aluminum bowl HS 190cm in an open treed area protected from the wind. Extended Column Test results were ECTN11 @ 170 ECTN24 @ 140 We avoided terrain that we know has rocky out croppings as we know these are suspect areas to trigger the weaker layers buried in Nov/Dec. We also avoided wind loaded areas at ridge top, riding quality is poor in these locations so makes it pretty easy to want to avoid.
