Weather

Overcast and cold. Continual light snowfall only added up to an inch by 2pm.

Snowpack

Getting deeper...! Snowpack is about 6 feet deep now, with plenty of snow in the forecast. No cracking/collapsing/signs of instability on easterly terrain below treeline where we traveled. We found 4"-6" new snow is sitting on a 1" thick crust (1F-) that formed between storms. New snow is well bonded to the crust, though clean and easy shears were found below the crust upon isolation. 4F->1F slab sits below crust with facets persisting at the bottom. Cold temps keeping snowpack from changing much at this time. Persistent southerly winds loading lee slopes near and above treeline today.
