Avalanche Control closure Mt. Whymper and Mt Field on Thursday, Dec 11, 2025

Parks Canada will be doing avalanche control with explosives on Mt. Whymper in Kootenay National Park and Mt. Field in Yoho National Park on Thursday, December 11, 2025. Both areas will be closed to users all day, and no climbing or skiing is permitted.
