Weather
20" of snow from the recent storm with 3.2" of water content. Partly to mostly cloudy skies and warm temperatures. Moderate SW winds provided some light wind loading. Widely scattered snow showers with little accumulation. Snowdepth; 91" at the study plot.
Snowpack
Traveled mostly on E-SE aspects near and below treeline. No signs of instability. We didn't travel in avalanche terrain today.
Avalanche
Observed avalanche activity limited to small (D1), isolated loose snow and a storm slab. Slab looking to be triggered by a small falling cornice and loose activity looked to be triggered by snow falling from above as well. Loose snow slides did not widen while descending.
