Weather

Sunny to party cloudy, strong west wind, recent light snow overnight (1-3”), 25-35 degrees F.

Snowpack

Generally stable spring snowpack with pockets of wind blow deposits. Snow surface was firm for a majority of the tour with surface warming around noon on east aspects 11k-13k.

Avalanche

D1 R1 windslab released from under a cross loaded cornice feature. I triggered the slab while snowboarding and was able to ride out of the path. Slide was relatively slow moving and slid approximately 300-400’ down a gully feature. No one was caught or injured.
