Snowpack
Thin snowpack in this area (33cm HS). Faceting at the surface (.5 - 1mm size). Starting from the ground up (see photos and profile): -Facets at the ground are the largest, but only max out at ~2mm. Some depth hoar chains. The layer from the ground is 12cm thick and is consolidated into a slab of fist+ hardness. -Next layer up is ~10cm thick and is also facets, but smaller grains, averaging 1mm and smaller. Fist hardness. -Top layer is a thin (~3cm) windcrust at the top of the snowpack. Small facets and wind affected particles, ~.5mm in size. 4F hardness.
