Weather

Mild with increasing clouds and a slight southerly breeze

Snowpack

The snowpack along SH 145 is in full transition mode. Being lower in elevation and mostly easterly facing, it is further along in the transition to isothermal than other ares in the Zone. Settled snow height is 62" on top of LHP and 45" in Rico. A snowpit dug in Scotch Creek revealed a 160 cm isothermal snowpack. The top 85cm was frozen (K) while the lower half was moist poly crystals (1F->4F). I believe most paths will continue to quietly melt, though have some uncertainty about the Peterson and the Snow Spurs. I also think White Lizard could put some debris onto the road. It just depends on how the spring warming unfolds...

Avalanche

A few wet loose slides ran during last week's warm-up, but none larger than D1.
