Weather

Started sunny and warm, with winds and cloud cover increasing significantly after 12:00 pm. In clouds from 13,000’ up.

Snowpack

Snowpack was variable, discontinuous and wind blasted at and above tree line with wind slabs/features pencil to knife hard and 1-2 feet thick. Punchy on the margins with up to 6” of 1-2mm facets below. Below tree line, snowpack was almost entirely melted on southern aspects, and dense recycled powder elsewhere. We had several large whoomphs below tree line, none above tree line.

Avalanche

None observed or signs of recent activity.
