Snow, heavy at times. Near treeline southwest winds were strong enough to develop 50-60 cm deep wind drifts on lee aspects.

About 30 centimeters of new snow had fallen by late morning, developing a reactive storm slab. Shooting cracks, collapsing and several remotely triggered avalanches failed at the new snow interface on a crust/surface hoar layer.
