Weather
Saturday was crisp with a slight breeze from North. Sunday was more pleasant, minimal winds snow distribution throughout the day other than some gusts noticed in the morning. Kendall wind plot representative of my weekend.
Snowpack
E aspects near and above treeline near ridgetops most concerning with easily initiated isolated pockets of wind slab 2-3" thick and never more than 10' wide. They wouldn't pose much of a concern to a person other than in extreme terrain. North aspect near ridge tops and higher elevation were firm but edge able transitioning to the facet farm a few hundred feet below ridges in more wind protected terrain. Dry loose still primary concern where slopes approach 40 degrees and /or around more rock where faceting was more pronounced. I did not find dry loose a concern on slopes <40 degrees on northerly near treeline but did when slopes at or exceeded 40.
Avalanche
Rider triggered a D1 Dry loose on steep (40+ degree) northerly terrain 2/5/22 that ran approximately 400' slowly.
