Weather

CLOUD COVER Broken TEMPERATURE (F) Felt like winter again NEW OR RECENT SNOWFALL (CM) 10 to 12 RAIN/SNOW LINE N/A SNOW AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT Moderate Amounts WIND LOADING None WEATHER SUMMARY Very light snow showers, calm winds where we traveled.

Snowpack

Re: PSa Feels like the slab is still lacking on most slopes and the surface hoar only survived in wind protected features. I got cracking across several wind sheltered start zones but the only thing that released was an unsupported rollover. Feedback on the problem was between 11,000' to 11,800'. I could not find evidence of the problem on north or northwest facing terrain probably due to previous wind damage from northerly winds.

Avalanche

Ski cut numerous loose dry avalanches from ridgeline start zones to see if anything would step down - nope. Remote triggered one small slab on an east facing, unsupported pillow feature on the 12/7 surface hoar layer. Other start zones on similar aspects produced shooting cracks but didn't slide.
