Weather

Light snow not adding up to much and gentle to light winds beginning to move a little snow. Chilly, overcast.

Snowpack

Weak on weak. Isolated slab structure developed above 11,500' on wind-drifted features. Discontinuous snowpack below 11,000'. Near 11,300', we measured ~1" of SWE above the stark interface at the top of the Depth Hoar. No slab yet in sheltered locations, just fist hard. Generally no results stepping on road cuts/banks. Only one moderate (10') crack on a west-facing bank with a buried melt-freeze crust. Other ski tests were a futile effort of wallowing. Saw old evidence of cracking from a rumbling collapse several days prior. No rumbling today in that or adjacent areas.
