Dug a hasty pit and performed an ECT at 11.5k; NE aspect; 29deg slope; about 40 ft down from the ridge; HS 120cm; ECTP11 Q2 at 85cm - within the old snow at an interface between a 5cm pencil hard windslab and softer snow beneath. Lower in the snowpack - a thicker, boot supportable hard slab overlying basal facets at the ground. Smaller basal facets - not yet mature depth hoar.
