Skinned up the Blue Lakes Summer trail to the 4th slide path. Did a quick upper snowpack hand shear assessment. 90cm down clean planar break on facet to be aware of. The cold snap combined with the deposited wind blown snow from the alpine created some productive sugar factory here. Upper surface snowpack condition is variable depending on exposure to last week wind event. It varies from pow on supportive surface to breakable to firm supportive the higher up/more wind exposed we go.
