Found amazing conditions on NE facing terrain north of Kicking Horse today. Lost most of the visibility early in the day so we mostly skied open trees. It snowed close to 5 centimetres in the afternoon with almost no wind except for when it cleared up again around 6:00 PM. Skiing was boot top in most places with knee deep pockets on more loaded features. No wind affect on any aspect made for nice skiing but the temperature was starting to settle the storm snow into soft slabs by the end of the afternoon with a couple size 1.5 triggered on specific features. 10-15m wide breaking into loose sluffs that ran moderately fast. Skinning up the SSE aspects revealed less than 10 cms ski pen on a supportive melt freeze crust.
