Sunny, calm and eerily warm for this time of year. Hot.

Snowpack

Basic summation of BTL snowpack: Slopes with northerly aspect have weak surface snow that will not carry a big load before failing. Sunny slopes have crusts of varying thickness, with facets below. Due south slopes are very thin with isothermal snowpack or are patchy/ melting out altogether.

There have been a handful of new Dry Loose slides on a variety of aspects and elevations. All pretty harmless, yet indicative of weak surface snow that will not take kindly to future loading...
