Weather
Observations made from the entrance to Kairns: 12,000', NW (Snowmass Ski Area). Overcast with brief moments of sun, very light snowfall with no significant accumulation by 2pm. Periods of moderate winds, sometimes very lightl blowing snow.
Snowpack
I found two pencil-hard, 4cm slabs at the top of the snowpack sitting on a hard crust with a 10cm finger-hard slab below those two. 135cm snow depth.
Avalanche
Observed wet slide debris in Garretts main bowl and both wet slides and storm slabs in the rocky bowl just Southeast of Garretts. Maybe ran this last week since the crowns were still well-defined that I could see from across the valley(?) Looks like wet slides ran on aspects E-SE and slabs broke off steep E-NE slopes.
