Weather

Mostly sunny and warm. Not much wind to speak of. Minor flagging off the highest peaks but no transport evident lower down.

Snowpack

I went out for a quick walk on the east side of Leadville without skis. There is not enough snow yet in this area for most winter recreation. On a north-facing, below-treeline slope at 10,800 ft the snow depth is 20 cm. Half of that is new snow and the other half is 2 mm faceted crystals. No slab at all in the area I traveled.
