@11600 Floor of US Basin depths ranged from 50 to 130 cms w/ ~5" of fresh under steady assault by the wind- highly variable and heavily wind affected surface conditions- (wind skiffs, wind slabs, strugi and boiler plate, blown clean ice) Although there's no large cornice build up yet, today's winds provided me a real time obs of cornice formation. With plenty of snow available for transport and wind speeds capable of moving snow, expect the annual beef curtains that hang above the double tier geo on US Basin's North wall to join us soon. @11500 Backyard depths range from 60cm-80cm 5" of F hard fresh atop an F to 4F, rightside up pack. 4F Late October DF/F on the Ground
