Travel Conditions

I climbed the S Face of Grand Sentinel today.

The Moraine Lake parking lot was full at 0600h.

From Sentinel Pass we crossed 5 small snow slopes. With the warm temps, it was easy to improve the steps in approach shoes. If there was a refreeze, some type of crampon would be necessary.

There were 3 parties on Cardiac Arete today. We had the S Face to ourselves. Beautiful and warm climbing this amazing feature.
