Snowpack
Below and at TL, on SE aspect, the snowpack was weak, faceted, and unconsolidated. However, it lacks a slab to become reactive. Above TL on east aspect, the snowpack is more complex and reactive around rocks. We triggered a whumpf on a section of the slope that is somewhat isolated by rocks. On open slopes closer to ridge top (~12K), the snowpack became more supportive, stable and ECT transitioned from ECTP to ECTNs. See snowpit from whumpf location for more details.
