Weather

Moderate northerly winds all day, S2 precip most of the day with a few lulls. Overcast to obscured skies all day. Traveled between 9400ft and 10142ft.

Snowpack

Three pits dug at noon on N and NE aspects @ 10,100ft. Found basal facets in all but it wasn't reactive in any CT that was run. Precip continued after we left pit site so load on weak layers is increasing. However, we did get results in new snow. CTMx3 down 20cms on the new snow interface. A few CTs also failed on an older interface that was down 35cms but they were in the hard loading steps and were difficult to trigger. Hasty pits and small test slopes showed had no reactivity below treeline. Snow of S1-S2 continuing at parking lot at 3pm.
