Snowpack

W/SW aspect at 11.5k showed a ~1 meter snowpack. Three alternating crust/facet layers resting on top of ~70cm of facets to the ground.

Avalanche

Observed debris on SW slope starting at ~12k. Likely 1-2 days old. Looked to start as a natural wind slab in shallow/cross loaded terrain near ridge top. Stepped down to deeper layers halfway down path. Did not cross terrain features. Estimate R3-D1.5.
