Weather
The day was warm 28°F at 10:30. Winds were light in the morning but became gusty around 2:30 p.m. The snow transport at that time was intense. The sky cover was scattered in the morning with clouds increasing though the afternoon.
Snowpack
The storm snow from Thursday was dense but still skied well. During the day the surface snow became noticeably heavier and ski penetration progressively less. By 3:30 p.m. ski penetration was only 8 cm to 10 cm.
Avalanche
Several soft-slab avalanches R2D1 were visible along NE facing ridge lines. a hard-slab avalanche was spotted above treeline on a small knoll well below the Ridgeline. l,;'\=?l;k;lj fads
