Weather

Snowing Heavily. Wind Gusts 20-20mph. 6"-8" East/North -East Aspect

Snowpack

6-8" new snow lower from quarry road up to lunch spot. 10" in the upper portion of the bowl. New snow rapidly loading on surface facets that have developed from last weeks cold temps. New snow not bonding well with buried facets and widespread cracking. Got a sizeable surface sluffs to propogate in main bowl. Running very quickly. Nothing stepping down. Major concern is new snow to facet layer now burried in 10"-12" of new snow with load rapidly building. Noticed lower areas in lower angled trees that are also propogating and sliding on same layer.

Avalanche

Ski cuts propogated into quick moving releases and gained momentum into lower portions of Marble Bowl.
