Sunny and mild with moderate to strong westerly winds in the alpine. Lots of snow moving off the peaks along the range.
Snowpack
Recent storms brought a good hit of precipitation to the region (20" snow/1.7" h20 in the past week) . Paths that were melted out prior to the storm continue to pose no hazard. New snow was not enough to raise the hazard in paths that did hold snow prior to the recent snowfall, though it did add a new layer to the mix. We will have to watch this layer for both rapid melt as well as with subsequent snowfall, where it may act as a weak layer. No slides noted today- just friendly roller balls. The paths of greatest concern continue to be those with a northerly component. Most other paths have returned to a hazard of None.
