Snowpack

Below treeline the snow surface was showing effects of warming on all aspects that I traveled on except due north. At treeline on and east aspect I found snow depths that averaged around 150-160cm, though I could find drifts up to 2m deep. I found a snowpack that--aside from a few centimeter thick melt-freeze crust at the surface--remained cold and winter-like. There was a faint dust layer 40-50cm below the surface where I dug. I had two ECTX results in my pit and observed no signs of instability in my travels.
