Low cloud cover obscuring sunshine and breezy conditions were keeping snow surfaces cool near and above the treeline.

Snowpack

East-facing highway avalanche paths have lost most of their snow volume and pose no threat. Sheltered paths have also lost a large majority of the season's snowpack and any activity in these paths will not affect highway operations.
