Weather

Temps in the 40's and 50's with increasing clouds during the day. A few snow showers on Cameron Pass and a few rain showers on Willow Creek Pass. Calm winds at pass level on Cameron Pass.

Snowpack

Upper start zones in the larger highway paths have more snow than last month's visit, but are still relatively shallow. Tracks are rough and it seems unlikely the snow in the start zones could reach the road. Banks above the road with more S'rly aspects are melted out, though they still hold snow as you trend more E'rly. Mid-sized paths above the highway still hold snow, but have transitioned to a more spring-like snowpack. See photos for more details.

Avalanche

Lots of small natural wet loose avalanches were noted in the area on all aspects coming out of steeper slopes near rock outcrops. A few wet loose skier triggered avalanches were also evident in the near Nokhu Crags.
