Weather
Thick clouds were moving constantly across the sky. Cloud cover was decreasing throughout the day but remained broken to scattered in the morning. Gusty SW winds were blowing and loading lee-slopes with a trace-1" of new snow.
Snowpack
Below treeline north facing slopes were surprisingly soft and dry despite recently warm weather. Moderate winds and decent cloud cover prevented any warming or wetting of the snow surface. Near and above treeline winds were drifting a small amount of new snow that fell overnight into a dense, creamy surface. On the leeward side of higher elevation ridges, active wind-loading was observed.
Avalanche
One small Wind Slab avalanche was observed and an older Loose Wet. Both were above treeline on east to northeast facing slopes
