Weather
Wind and blowing snow throughout the mid morning. Temps in the 20s. Overcast. Location: Broome Hut and approach trail Aspect: avalanches on the south flank of Twin Cones Elevation: debris reached to within about 100 ft of the aqueduct path.
Snowpack
Thin in areas lacking trees to the point of needing to carefully pick one's way across rocks and tufts of grass. Snow within trees still minimal. Not enough to cover stumps and other downed trees. Required careful turning to avoid digging into base/ground.
Avalanche
Two debris piles located below the summit of Twin Peaks. Visible from trail and west windows of hut. Located about 100 ft uphill of aqueduct path.
