French Haig Robertson circuit on Tuesday. Winds in the morning blowing snow off of the peaks. Snow below treeline still unaffected by wind heading up to the French Gl. Winds on the glacier were moderate or strong from the South through the col, causing modest snow transport on the glacier. Snow on the Haig side was much less wind affected, leading to a deep bootpack up to top of the Roberson Gl., and good skiing back down towards the Haig. One more deep bootack back up the Haig for a real windy ski down the Robertson, on hard wind affected snow. On the ski out wind was from the West and blowing moderate to strong across the lake. The glaciers look to be in good condition, with exposed ice sections quite full of snow.
