Quick report

A large size 3 avalanche released several weeks ago from the start zones above the climb providing good, firm travel up the gully on old avalanche debris. We could see recent tracks from other climbers up the gully. In isolated areas these tracks were covered by newly formed wind slab, which was not showing any signs of reactivity. From the road we could still see lots of snow in the start zones above. The ice is in great shape with lots of névé snow on the lower pitches.
