Key observation for today was wind affect above treeline. By 9am E-SE winds picked up to M, transporting loose surface snow on shady higher elevation alpine features. M to strong blowing snow at ridgetop with new thin windslabs building but staying unreactive in the lower alpine. S-1 by 10am with flurries through mid-day. On N asp at 2000m, ski pen was 15-20cm and foot pen was 35cm. Previous wind slabs appeared well settled and upper snowpack had a favorable density profile. We avoid pushing higher into the alpine as vis deteriorated and winds continued to transport surface snow.
