Weather

ovc, SW winds 10-15 gust 35, consistent snow transport off of ridge. snowing lightly (S1)

Snowpack

we created several very small slides on 10-20 foot test slopes @ 11,600. 8-10 inch highly reactive wind slab just under newly forming cornices. test slides were running on older 4-1F hard snow.

Avalanche

SS-U-R1.5 -D2- I-11,600 S-SE asp. north half of monarch ridge. Appeared to be 60ft wide x 250 fall. soft slab broke just under ridge top. no visible tracks leading in or out, appeared to be natural.
