Low visibility, blustery day spent summiting Stone House. Dug two pits at 1100m on different aspects. Pit 1 - NE on 16 deg slope, snow depth 100cm, compression test no results. Pit 2 - N on 23 deg slope, snow depth 150cm ( wind loaded). First compression test triggered a wind slab @ 10 cm on M3 sudden planar. Second compression test triggered the same wind slab on E2 sudden planar. Buried surface hoar layer at 30cm (northeast) and 65cm (N) starting to round- did not trigger. Alpine skiing was a variable wind crust with some soft loaded areas.
