Weather

Intense solar radiation

Snowpack

Very wet snowpack. Cold snow on northerlies but by the time we were skiing out around 9:30 the snow on the trees was melting fast and snowpack was hot and sticky

Avalanche

Two D2-3 sized natural wet loose avalanches observed around 10,600-11,000 feet on a Southeast / South aspect. The sun certainly warmed things up quicker than we expected. 7:54 am Dragontail produced a wet loose natural, then at 9:15am Dead Elk Couloir flushed out. We watched both from Hallet Couloir.
