kied the North Bowl (west facing) today and yes the surface hoar was indeed present and active, between 15 to 60 cm down at ridge top and sitting on top of a rain crust. Cleaned most of the North Bowl, 2 size-1 pockets had already released and we ski cut 2 more size 1 which avalanches/burried fresh tracks, some hang fire skiers right. Marginal coverage from top of t-bar down. Heads up this week end folks and don't fall into the heuristic that if there's tracks, it must be safe...
