The day was mild in temps -9.5 with a mix of sun and clouds. We dug our pit on a SE aspect on a incline of 20 degrees. Total height of snow was 180cm. Calm to light winds blowing from the SW. Our layer of concern was a thin ice layer down 35cm reacting in the moderate range at CTM13 with resistant planer fracture characteristics. Great riding to be had in areas sheltered from the wind.
