Sunny and windy in the morning with approaching clouds. Wind gusts of 25-30mph out of the south.
Snowpack
North facing aspect had 120cm of snow. Wind slab forming on east facing slopes, below tree line. Column test on north side of (ak The Gem)@ 9800ft CT 20 with no result. The persistent weak layer ( Nov. Freezing rain) is 90cm deep and had some signs of gaining strength from 2 weeks ago. No signs of instability while skiing. Picture show was a natural slide from probably a day or two ago on a North facing slope with a 45 degree slope. South of the Gem ( ak slater pk.) @ 9600ft. And very wind loaded.
