Light flurries early morning turned to ~2 inches falling during tour, wind was calm (5-10 mph?), n aspect still in shade but temp rose quickly
Snowpack
Ectn on nne aspect at 11800’ above treeline, no failure or propogation during test but three distinct layers were present, and with additional force broke free with a planar sheer for each of the top two blocks shown in photo
Avalanche
BP n aspect at ~11,200’ below treeline, just below aquadect in CC drainage, SS around 1ft deep crown, broke 10ft wide between 1st and second turns, confined to snow in chute between lookers left cliff and lookers right rocks/trees, chunky sluff on partners line on other side of cliff as well.
