Snowpack

On a southwest aspect below treeline I found a weak, faceting slab over depth hoar. ECTN results and moderate CT results 30cm above the ground at the top of the depth hoar layer. See snowpit profile for more detail. In the Spider Slide, a south aspect below treeline, HS was 15-20cm and the snowpack conisited of a 5cm melt-freeze crust over facets.
